Please note that Release 2.03 is being posted here on 28 July, 2010.  Please read carefully the note which comes up on first loading.  This will tell you how to set your version of Excel to allow RingtailXL to access Excel’s Visual Basic Project.  If sample data is not visible in the open file dialog box when you first try, select [Tools] [Options] on the Main Menu and check the Sample Data option.

 

This download is time limited and will cease to load after approximately three months, on the date indicated on the Splash Screen which displays before each loading.  As errors are identified during the Beta testing process, the system will be updated and the time limitation extended.

 

If you have installed an earlier Release (2.01 or 2.02) please uninstall this first, from the Control Panel [Add or remove programmes].  Then please use the search facility in Windows explorer to look for the configuration file that installing the earlier version may have put there.  The file is called user.config, and will be below a folder called RingtailXL.  On a stand-alone machine it will probably be located in

 

C:\Documents and settings, probably in:

 

\[user name]\local settings\Application data\RingtailXL\ and below that:

 

in a folder with a machine generated name starting RingtailXL.exe_Url . . .

 

If found, please delete this file before installing Version 2.03, because among other things it stores the date when the system was installed and the new release will not load more than three months after that date.
